Colin and Kieren run for e.a.c.h.

The adventure continues for these kind hearted but slightly crazy couple of buggers! We couldn’t be any prouder of Colin for putting his body through utter misery while we look on scoffing Xmas leftovers. This amazing charity piece is exactly what UPP are all about. Combining words with good deeds is in our DNA. I will be cheering both Colin and Kieren on from the comfort of my sofa and raising a full fat beer in celebration!

Colin’s Story

On the last weekend of November while I enjoyed a little trip to Latvia, Kieren donned his Asics NovaBlast 5 luxe. He set out to complete a mammoth task, another charity event. 24 hours of 5kms every hour on the hour! He managed an incredible 75km over the course of 15 hours. After this amazing achievement he should have been the one going on holiday!

December starts with us each completing steady 5km runs. On the 7th I upped the distance with a solo hilly 12km. A few days later Kieren matched my efforts with his own hilly 10km. Increasing our distance was crucial as this was preparing us for the following weekend. On the 14th we had planned my longest run to date.

We started at the e.a.c.h charity shop on Felixstowe Road in Ipswich. Wearing our e.a.c.h charity vests. We headed down towards the docks, through the town and up Westerfield Road. As we turned onto Colchester Road the sun started to appear, we enjoyed that sunrise all the way to Felixstowe. We ran along the sea front, up Bent Hill and through the town centre until we reached the e.a.c.h charity shop on Hamilton Road. Completing our 25km run.

I took a break for the next couple of days while Kieren made the most of the gym. On the 18th we both joined the Harmonious Society for their last track night of 2025. I pushed hard in intervals, even achieving some personal records while also running a total of 12km.

With all these long distance runs over the last few months I’m starting to feel confident and without hesitation I head out for another solo 19km run on the 21st, and when I think this month couldn’t get any better, on Christmas day I get a new Parkrun personal best at Kesgrave Parkrun with a time of 20:23. A year earlier this sort of time seemed impossible to me, but now I’m edging closer and closer to joining that sub 20 minute club.

I finished my month of running with an 8km trail run with my mate Doug. I totalled over 116km of running this month.

On Boxing Day Kieren joined 4 other friends with a chilled out half marathon, followed by more days at the gym and on the 29th he was able to do another track session but this time in the London Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Kieren completed 100km of running this month as well as over 15 hours in the gym.

We know things are pretty tight. Even if you are reading this then we already appreciate your support. But if you can spare a few pennies to support this great cause, it would be greatly received. If not, how about sharing this story with someone else?

Thank you! From all of the Pigs x
