Urban Pigs Press is open for short story submissions!

Mark Burrow will be running this one and the topic of choice is ‘Transformation’.

Prose only submissions should be between 500 and 1,500 words.

Please email Mark at urbanpigsguest@outlook.com with the title ‘Transformation’ and attach your prose submission as a Word doc.

Interpret ‘Transformation’ in any way you choose. Rebuilding a relationship. Quitting an addiction. A dead-end job. Moving somewhere new. Falling in love. A bank heist. Turning into a bird. An insect that awakens from uneasy dreams….

Let your mind roam.

For those who don’t know already, we’re interested in gritty realism, crime, cultists, the occult, dystopia and even more so if it includes more than one of the above

The only caveat from Mark for this one is – absolutely no vampire, werewolf or zombie stories. Apparently, he’s had enough of those for the time being.  

The submission window is open from now until 18:00 (BST) Friday 7^th August.

Feel free to add a short bio with your submission (no more than 100 words) and a mug shot is welcome but by no means essential.
