A little disappointed that my 5m walk with Colin from the office to the stairway wasn’t included but I suppose we need to be realistic with these things. I even had on my new rucksack, I could tell Colin was very impressed as he said ‘Going camping mate?’ – Last time I order something like that online. Note to self: one bag does not fit all purposes.
Not long until these guys tackle that mountain and I can start using Kate Bush song lyrics to accompany these posts.

Colin and Kieren’s Story
Firstly I want to thank everyone who joined me for my first run back and everyone who reached out to run with me in the first couple of weeks *. The support from the running community is all the motivation I need.
I spent 5 days in the gym doing strength and conditioning, as well as increasing my walking distance from 1km to 4.5km. This was to give me the confidence I needed to complete 5km on my first run back on the 14th April. We actually ran 6km,
2 days later I ran 8km with Kieren and Matt to include a steady incline, I also introduced cycling into my training and by the end of week 1 I managed 21km of running and 40km of cycling.
Week 2, I ran 23km up until the Saturday, and at midnight I went out for my first run of 3 to participate in the London Marathon Myway.

At midnight I was joined by my wife Kerry for the first 4km, I then continued solo for a further 11.5km. After 3 hours of sleep, I was out again at 6.30am for 17.5km, this time joined by my mum for 8km. My final installment was midday, 9.5km, finishing my 42.2km marathon distance in about 4 hours 20minutes.

My final run of the month was with Kieren and Sam, 10km up and down the windy Felixstowe promenade. 5km of this was also run with Harmonious Run Club.
Before I even get to the 14th April, Kieren had already clocked 77 km. He continued to get in the distances with some steady runs and even didn’t neglect his gym workouts.

On Saturday 25th at 9pm, Kieren, Josh and Kieran made their way to London. They were to attempt the Reverse London Marathon Myway. This also started at midnight and the lads were done by 4.18am.

Kieren totalled 175km in April
We have our biggest runs coming up in May, including the 34km Jurassic Coast challenge with over 1000m of elevation gain. Check back next month for updates
*Big thank you to Kieren, Doug, Danielle, Tayne, Lee, Rudi, Matt, Daniel, Dafydd, Emily, Sophie, Sam, Kerry and Mum. And the Harmonious Run Club.
We know things are pretty tight. Even if you are reading this then we already appreciate your support. But if you can spare a few pennies to support this great cause, it would be greatly received. If not, how about sharing this story with someone else?
Thank you! From all of the Pigs x
